Olympic Village and Tower of London

Today we got an incredible experience- a tour of the Olympic Village! We got to take a tour bus around the Olympic Village and see the different buildings (mostly construction) and arenas for the games. It was nuts, can't believe that where we were will be swarming with famous athletes, media, and most importantly Harry and William :) It was awesome. Then we took the tube (mind the gap) to the Tower of London, home of the crown jewels, the London Bridge, royal armor, outfits, gifts, etc. It was really cool! We saw torture chambers, suits of armor, gifts to the kings and queens, etc. Then it was off to get a new camera because (of course) mine broke. Typical to the theme of my trip. It was actually not too much more than in America and I will get the tax refunded when I leave the European Union do that will help. The man was so helpful and I actually have a pretty nice camera now! The only problem is that I now have a charger that uses UK plugs so he threw in a universal adapter for the trip free! I'll have to buy a US one off amazon. We went to an Indian restaurant all the way across town. We directed prof. Ryan on the double decker bus to Hackney and India town (china town but india themed) and I had Indian food for the first time which I enjoyed. We then trudged through hackney and then made it back to the hotel, what a great night! London has been great thus far!
