le voyage au Paris

On May 20th, the group began by meeting in the lobby of the Royal National Hotel at 8am. We all were packed and ready to move on to our next city.  We headed to the Eurostar to begin the journey. At 12:45pm we arrived in Paris, with respect to the new time change, and hopped on the metro towards our motel. Jordan once again got stuck in the metro door, along with Debbie, but we all made it thanks to the help of a local. At this point we were all a bit tired from carrying our suitcases up and down various flights of steps. We arrived at Citadines Hotel and took some time to rest before site seeing. 

We set out to see the city. We walked to Notre Dame and the French Holocaust memorial that were nearby.  The food is amazing here, which we quickly realized after our group dinner. Derek was the winner of a free dessert because he was the closest to guessing the amount that the bill added up to be. Way to be Derek.

A few of us sought out ice cream, giving Danielle a chance to practice her French with the locals. This was the start of a quiet evening in Paris, where most of us relaxed and recuperated from the concert the evening before.
